I am a Private Gemologist with expertise to assist you in properly managing the identification, valuation, and possible liquidation of those fine jewelry assets.Services other than that of procuring offers of liquidation which can be done either on-site or some other location. This includes highly unique rare gems or pieces of jewelry that require specialized expertise.
A main part of our jewelry appraisal services is supplying a prospective client with a complete jewelry appraisal for insurance replacement purposes for diamond engagement rings and fine jewelry. Many insurance companies request that a jewelry insurance appraisal is updated every few years by a certified gemologist appraiser due to the nature of these pieces.
A charitable donation appraisal is sought when jewelry is donated to a charity oriented organization, educational institution, museum, or other public institution–and the donor may be entitled to a tax deduction. The estimation of value is based on a Fair Market Value and is usually accompanied by form 8283, if the value exceeds $5,000USD. All of our appraisals are accepted by the IRS.
